Artist Statement: "I had planned on adding more detail to this painting, but when I stepped back and viewed it from far away, it just captured the brightness of the day, so I decided to leave it simple. 

The clouds looked like creatures in their own right, fluffy entities that rolled over the mountains towards us. To see the colour blue on a day like that in such vividness is quite rare and beautiful. It reminds me of looking through a diamond. It's important to be reminded that there are always sunny days ahead. "
