Artist Statement: "The tree in the garden had the most beautiful bright neon yellow leaves and felt like it reached all the way up into the sky. So I used a long canvas and aimed to capture the full height of the tree in all its glory. I added in New Zealand curls into the soil, as we are famous for our ferns and red roses that bloomed below. I aimed to make the leaves slightly peacock like, as though each branch was a feathered eye."
