Artist Statement: "I wanted to try combining embroidery marks with thicker small paint marks to create added texture. I like how I made the water around the edge almost blurry like the image is spinning. Same with the spiral for the clouds in the center that almost spiral.
The landscape that inspired this painting looked so beautiful, almost stripped with colours. There was purple and brown, orange and all these cute bushes and trees dotted about.
I decided to cut the string of the sun in the center so that it became fluffy and the lines would spread out from the painting, making the eye travel back to you! 🌞🌞🌞"
